"The true protagonist of all authentic catechesis is however the Holy Spirit, who by means of the profound union with Jesus Christ which is nurtured by every catechist, give efficacy to human efforts in catechetical activity.  This activity is carried out in the bosom of the Church: the catechist is a witness to her living Tradition and a mediator who facilitates the incorporation of new disciples of Christ into his ecclesial Body."
